Former all-American standout Cinnamon Sheffield is in her first season as a full-time assistant coach with the Flyin' Frog program. She served the previous two years as a graduate assistant at TCU.

Her primary duties involve working with the women's sprint corps. Under her guidance, the Lady Frogs set four school records during 1995 in the women's 4x100 relay.

As a collegian at Louisiana State, Sheffield was one of the nation's outstanding sprinters, eaming 10 all-American honors while competing on teams which garnered six NCAA team titles.

She earned her bachelor's degree from LSU in 1992. A native of Dallas, Texas, Sheffield was a two-time state champion while at South Oak Cliff High School, as well as the 1987 USA Junior Champion at 100 meters.
