Karl Richter is now in his 9th season as assistant coach. The 1982 TCU grad is also the assistant tennis professional at the Mary Potishman Lard Tennis Center.
As a player in 1980, Richter led Odessa Junior College to a national championship. He also captured the national doubles title.
In 1981, Richter teamed with David Pate to capture the NCAA doubles championship and earn all-American doubles honors.
In 1982, Richter earned his second consecutive All-American award, while compiling a 24-2 doubles mark.
He later played on the professional circuit for four years, when injuries cut his playing career short.
