- (6/02) Former Lady Frog Kris Tschetter finished in 2nd place in the US Women's Open, after a
final round 66.
- (6/01) J.J. Henry finished in 14th place at the NCAA Championships.
Henry fired his fourth consecutive 74 to finish with a 296.
- (6/01) Brashant Carter finished 8th in the finals of the 200 meters (21.01).
- (5/31) J.J. Henry is tied for 16th place after his third consecutive 74. Henry is 8 shots out
of second, but trails leader Tiger Woods by 17.
- (5/31) The TCU men's 4 X 100 relay team finished in fourth place (39.49) at the NCAA Championships.
- (5/31) Brashant Carter advanced to the finals of the 200; he was second in his heat (20.64).

- (5/30) (5/30) Tinesha Jackson advanced to the 100 meter semifinals after finishing third
in her heat (11.51). Giesla Jackson failed to qualify with a 11.79.
- (5/30) TCU shot a 301 in the second round of the NCAA Championships. Grady Girard and
Doug Roecker led the Frogs with rounds of 73.
The Frogs finished tied for 18th place, and are out of the tournament.
J.J. Henry advanced with his second consecutive 74, which places him
12 shots behind Stanford's standout Tiger Woods, who set a course record yesterday
(67).
- (5/29) The TCU men's 4 X 100 relay easily qualified for the final with a time of 39.54 seconds, the third best of the day.
Brashant Carter won his heat in the 200 meter preliminaries (20.76).
Khadevis Robinson, undefeated in the 800 meters this season,
failed to qualify after finishing 5th in his heat (1:49.78). The women's 4 X 100 relay also failed to qualify after finishing 6th in their heat with a 45.19.

NCAA Championships.
The Frogs shot a 311, and were led by J.J. Henry, who fired a 74.
Arizona State is the first round leader with a 286. The individual leader is Pat Perez of
the Sun Devils, who shot a 68.
- (5/26) Former TCU sprinter Jon Drummond (20.20) held off Carl Lewis to win the 200 meter dash at the Prefontaine Classic. Less than an hour earlier,
Drummond finished second in the 100 meters.
- (5/26) Ashley Fisher & Jason Weir-Smith were defeated by #1 seed Justin Gimelstob and Srdjan Muskatirovic of UCLA 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-4 in the NCAA championship doubles finals.
- (5/25) Ashley Fisher & Jason Weir-Smith defeated Chris Mahony & Pablo Montana of Tennessee, 6-4, 6-2, to
advance to the championship finals. They will play #1 seed Justin Gimelstob
and Srdjan Muskatirovic of UCLA on Sunday afternoon.
- (5/25) Earlier in the day, Fisher & Weir-Smith defeated #4 seed Troy Budgen &
Brad Sceney of Pepperdine, 6-4, 6-4.

- (5/23) Paul Robinson & David Roditi defeated David Caldwell and Brint Morrow of North Carolina, 6-3, 6-1.
- (5/23) #2 seed Paul Robinson defeated Reed Cordish 6-2, 7-5; "The fresher you stay in early rounds, the better off you are," said Robinson. "Anytime I finish in straight sets, I consider it a bonus."
(5/23) TCU freshman DH Royce Huffman has been selected to the 1996 Mizuno Freshmen All-American team, selected by editors of Collegiate Baseball. Huffman hit .360 with 4 home runs and 38 RBI in 48 games for the Frogs. Earlier this spring, Huffman was also named the Newcomer of the Year on the SWC-SID All-Conference team by the SWC SIDs as well as Freshman of the Year by the Austin American Statesman.
(5/23) TCU third baseman Matt Howe received honorable mention honors on the Mizuno Freshman All-American team. Howe hit .318 with 5 home runs and 50 RBI in 67 games.
- (5/22) TCU's Paul Robinson, seeded #2 in singles, advanced by defeating #37 Jason White of Florida State, 6-7 (7-5), 6-3, 6-1. #35 David Roditi lost to #3 Cecil Mamit of Southern Cal, 6-4, 6-1.
- (5/21) The Dallas Morning News reported that former SMU starting QB Derek Canine will be enrolling at TCU.
- (5/20) TCU Women's basketball coach Mike Petersen announced the
signing of 7 players.
- (5/19) TCU was defeated by UCLA 4-2.
- (5/19) TCU will now play #1 ranked and undefeated UCLA today at 11am.
UCLA advanced by defeating Fresno State 4-0; Georgia defeated Mississippi State, 4-0, and will play Stanford, a 4-1 winner over USC.
- (5/19) TCU defeated Mississippi 4-1 to advance to the semifinals of the NCAAs.
- (5/18) TCU defeated LSU 4-3 to advance in the NCAA tournament.
- (5/18) The TCU men's golf team finished 8th (879) at the NCAA Regionals, and will advance
to the NCAA Championships, which will be in Chattanooga, TN (May 29-June1).
Doug Roecker finished tied for 11th overall with a 217.
"Any time you shoot a 302 (first round), you're sticking yourself in the foot," said
head coach Bill Montigel. "I was afraid we wouldn't make it, with all the good teams
they have here."
- (5/18) Brashant Carter won the 200 meters (20.39) at the SWC Track Meet. Carter also finished 3rd in the 100 meters (10.28).
Khadevis Robinson won the 800 meters (1:50.79).
TCU finished
2nd in the 400 meter relay (39.73).
Tinesha Johnson finished 4th in the 100 meters (11.53).
The TCU women finished 2nd in the 400 meter relay (44.36). This was the best time in school history, and is an automatic qualifying mark.
- (5/17) TCU men's golf team posted the low score of the day 281 (-3) to move into 10th
place after two rounds of the NCAA Central Regionals. Doug Roecker is 15th overall (144).
J.J. Henry (68) and Grady Girard (69) had the low
scores for the Frogs yesterday. TCU is 9 shots behind suprise leader Texas A&M.
- (5/17) TCU loses to Tech 10-6 in the SWC baseball tournament. The loss eliminates
the Frogs.
- (5/16) TCU is tied for 18th after the first round of the NCAA
Central Regionals. Doug Roecker was the low Frog at 72 (+1).
- (5/16) TCU loses to Texas 7-5 in the SWC Baseball tournament.
- (5/15) TCU defeated Baylor, 12-5 in the opener of the SWC Baseball tournament.
- (5/13) TCU loses to Tech, 23-7, in the final SWC regular season baseball game.
TCU will play Baylor on Wednesday at 11 am in the opener of the SWC baseball tournament.
- (5/11) The Frogs defeated Texas Tech 7-4 in the opener,
while the Red Raiders won the nightcap 9-6 in 11 innings.
- (5/11) The TCU women's golf team finished 19th (1000) at the NCAA West Regionals.
Susan Horton finished 67th with a 245.
- (5/10) The TCU women's golf team remained in 18th place after the second round of the NCAA West
Regionals (666). Susan Horton and Amanda Workman were
the low scorers for the Frogs, and were tied for 66th overall, with a score of 164.
- (5/9) The TCU women's golf team is 18th after the first round of the NCAA West Regionals in Omaha, NE.
- (5/9) Freshman outfielder Royce Huffman was selected as the "Newcomer of the Year" by the SWC Sports Information Directors. Huffman is hitting .367 with 3 homers and 35 RBIs, despite missing time for spring football drills.
- (5/9) Outfielders Ryan Dunn and Jeff McCurdy were selected to the All-SWC team as well as relief pitcher Scott Atchison. Atchison also made the team last year.
- (5/9) The TCU vs Tech game on Sunday will be broadcast on Prime Network at 2 pm.
- (5/9) Tut Bartzen was selected as Region VI coach of the year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Paul Robinson was named player of the year. David Roditi received the John Van Nostrand Memorial Award which is given to a senior who plans to pursue the pro circuit.
- (5/8) Angela Stanford of Boswell, who will attend TCU this fall, rallied to win the Class AAAA championship with a career best 69. She trailed by 5 strokes with 9 holes remaining.

Ann Arbor, Michigan, beginning on May 16th.

are scheduled to be played at Champions Golf Club in Omaha, Nebraska (May 9-11).
- (5/1) The TCU women's tennis team will be playing in the NCAA regionals
at College Station, TX (May 3rd-5th). TCU will be playing #1 seed Vanderbilt in the opener
on May 3rd. Other teams in the regional include #2 Texas A&M, #3 Arkansas, #4 LSU,
Baylor, Rice and SMU.
