- (3/31) The TCU women's golf team finished 12th at the Arizona State Invitational.
- (3/31) The TCU baseball team loses to Oral Roberts, 16-14.
- (3/30) Both the men's and women's 4 x 100 relay teams finished first at the UTA Invitational.
- (3/30) The TCU baseball team is swept by Oral Roberts, 5-3, and 10-4.
- (3/30) The TCU women's team was defeated by #34 ranked Texas A&M, 6-3.
- (3/30) The TCU men's tennis team defeated Rice, 5-2.
- (3/28) The TCU men's tennis team defeated Baylor, 6-1.
- (3/27) The TCU Flyin' Frogs had 7 first place finishes, 5 women and 2 men, at the SMU Invitational last
weekend. The men's 4 x 100 meter relay had a NCAA provisional qualifying mark with a time of
40.01 seconds. Sophomore Tinesha Jackson won both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Her time in the 100 was a provisional qualifying mark. Freshman Chessna Davis won the 100 meter hurdles with a
provisional qualifying mark of 13.8 seconds.
- (3/26) Rick Smith, hired in February to be TCU's secondary coach, resigned to accept a similar position with the Denver Broncos.
Smith will be replaced by Curtis Modkins, former TCU running back.
- (3/26) TCU splits their doubleheader with UTA, winning 7-3, and losing 5-2.
- (3/23) The TCU men's tennis team defeated Cal-Irvine, 7-0.
- (3/23) TCU swept Rice, winning 9-4, and 9-8.
- (3/22) TCU rallied to defeat Rice 9-8 in 10 innings.
- (3/21) The TCU Lady Frogs tennis team completed their Hawaiian trip with a 6-0 victory
over Chaminade. Earlier, they defeated Washington St. (6-3), and Hawaii (6-0).
- (3/21) TCU signed a one-year contract with KCLE/92.1 FM and KCLE/1120 AM to be its
flagship stations for Frog sports in 1996-97.
KTCU FM 88.7 will continue to broadcast
some sports as well.

- (3/19) The TCU men's golf team finished 3rd in the Morris Williams Invitational at
Austin. Grady Girard finished tied for 4th individually, with a 220. Girard led after the first two rounds.

- (3/17) The TCU men's tennis team shared the Blue-Gray Classic with number one seed
Mississippi, after rain forced the cancellation of the final round.

First Pitch Tournament.

swept Sam Houston, winning 10-0, and 11-3.
- (3/12) The TCU women's tennis team defeated Southwest Texas, 6-1.
- (3/11) Shell Robinson, the TCU women's basketball coach, was fired along with her two
assistant coaches. Robinson's Lady Frogs had lost 44 straight conference games, and won
only 8 of 80 during her tenure.
TCU's athletic director, Frank Windegger, does not anticipate hiring a new coach until the
conclusion of the NCAA tournament, but expects the new person to have experience at the
Division I level.

- (3/10) The TCU men's golf team finished 3rd at the Golf Digest Collegiate, finishing 5 shots (880) behind
the winner, UNLV. Doug Roecker finished 5th, with a 218.

Susan Horton was 11th with a 229.

that it can be telecast nationally on ESPN.
