1995-96 ... Fowler took a redshirt last season after transferring to TCU from Oklahoma.

AT OKLAHOMA .... Recruited to Oklahoma by then-Sooner coach Billy Tubbs, Fowler stepped into the starting role as the Sooners point guard. In 31 games (25 as a starter), he averaged 6.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per outing. His career-high scoring outing was a 19-point outburst against Georgia Tech, with his Big Eight high-game coming at Kansas State when he tallied 14 points. Following his freshman season, Fowler was named as a Big Eight Academic all-Conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL .... A parade all-america selection as a senior at Las Vegas (Nev.) Western High School, Fowler was rated by many scouting services to be among the top 40 high school players in the nation (Bob Gibbons listed him as the second-highest rated point guard). Fowler paced all Nevada prep scorers with his 40.0 per game average, while also averaging 6.0 boards, 8.7 assists and 3.7 steals during his senior campaign. A co-captain for the 24-9 club, Fowler's best outing came against Cheyenne High, when he went on a 60-point scoring binge in just over 32 minutes of action. As a junior, he posted averages of 32.4 points, 7.8 assists and 4.1 steals. A recipient of the Black Commerce Committed award, as well as the Education and Athletics award, Fowler was coached at Western High by Joe Stein.

PERSONAL .... Prince Fowler was born November 23, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Fowler of Las Vegas. Prince is an education major at TCU.
