#23 Malcolm Johnson
JUNIOR COLLEGE .... Johnson earned Juco all-America honors after averaging 24.0 points and 7.1 rebounds, in addition to recording a team-high 85 steals during the 1995-96 season. The Trojans finished the '95-96 campaign with a 25-8 season record. He finished his two-year career as the Trojan's career-leading scorer, with 1,589 points and also set a SJC single-game scoring high when he netted 59 points against Redlands Community College. A two-time NJCAA all-Region II honoree, Johnson ranked 10th in the nation in scoring as a freshman, averaging 25.7 points. HIGH SCHOOL .... Johnson earned Oklahoma All-State and Daily Oklahoman Player of the Year honors following an outstanding senior season for the Lawton (Okla.) High Wolverines, where he averaged 26.3 points and 11.0 rebounds. He was also named to the 1994 McDonald's High School All-American team. PERSONAL .... A native of Lawton, Okla., Johnson is the son of Brenda Johnson of Lawton. Born April 9, 1976, he is majoring in physical education while attending TCU.
