Fish joins Horned Frog Basketball Staff

Fort Worth (Sept 27, 1996)

Brian Fish, previously an administrative assistant at Creighton University, has been named an assistant coach on the staff at TCU, head coach Billy Tubbs announced Friday.

Fish, 30, who was at Creighton from 1994-96, has also served stints on the cage staffs at Kansas State, as well as at Marshall University. While at Kansas State, the Wildcats enjoyed a top-twenty ranking, as well as trips to the NCAA Tournament and NIT Final Four.

As a collegian, he began his playing career at Western Kentucky (1084-86), before transferring to Marshall. He played for the Thundering Herd team that lost to TCU, 76-60, in the first round of the 1987 NCAA Tournament.

A native of Seymour, Indiana, Fish was a first-team all-state selection at Seymour HS. He later received his B.A. in Arts from Marshall University in 1989.
