In preparation for its 100th year of intercollegiate football and its inaugural season in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), TCU officially opens its 1996 spring football season on Wednesday, March 27th.

Head Coach Pat Sullivan, who is beginning his 5th season at TCU, welcomes back 48 lettermen and 11 starters (5 offensive, 5 defensive, and All-American Kicker Michael Reeder) from last season's 6-5 ballclub.

The Frogs will be attempting to record the program's third-straight winning season, a feat that has not been accomplished at TCU since 1957-59.

Sullivan said several players, all nursing various injuries, will be excused from the contact portions of TCU's spring practice. Included are sophomore linebacker Cody Mortensen, sophomore tailback Andre Bruce, junior guard Doug Loeser, junior defensive end Matt Harper, and senior fullback Koi Woods, all projected frontliners for next fall.
