Slingin' (Dutch) O'Brien's 1996 Predictions

I wonder if these JHawk trash talkers will skeedattle as fast as them Sooners did after the ballgame. Probly.

Anyway,after 3 weeks I'm 12-0 in pickin SWC games and facin another tough slate. I've had a busy week after Tahoka mayor Tommy Jo Terveen declared this "Slingin' (Dutch) O'Brien Week". I think it had somethin' to do with that 6 game parlay he hit usin' my picks last week. The parade was real nice,but I did feel guilty that I'd been a party to a good public servant fallin' to the evils of gamblin'.

This weeks picks:
TCU 31, Kansas 24- If this weren't in the most beautiful stadium on God's green earth(ACS), it might of been the other way around.
SMU 24,Utah 17- I'm gonna ride this horse 1 more time !
Louiville 31, Baylor 10 - When do you reckon they's gonna figure out that Reedy can't coach ?
Texas A&M 70, Southwestern La. 7 - The Cajuns won't be Ragin no more
Tulane 35, Rice 7 - The Owls.... (I'm lookin fer a word) ..........SUCK.
Houston 28, Pitt 24- Last week they knocked on the door, this week they kick the S.O.B. in.
Tulsa 24, Okie A&M 17- The Aggies...(I'm lookin fer a word).........SUCK.

Phillips and Southwestern moved up to #2 & #3 (flipflopped) in the major polls this week.SU at Nebraska and OhioState at Phillips should be big uns this Saturday. I just can't come up with a pick on them 2 games.

By the Way- At my age this column ain't easy. Does anyone out there read it. I'm thinkin' about quitin while I'm on top.
