Week 2 Predictions

(8/28) That was the maddest bunch of Aggies I've seen since I slipped a turd in the punch bowl at the Corp Mixer back in 1938 ! Whooo Weee, what a week. First I go out on a limb in pickin' BYU, then I get mentioned in the Star Telegram as "interestin' readin'". I was plum honored.

Thanks to FrogWeb Man for the new link to my predictions and current SWC Standin's. It is on the Frog Football page.Anyway, Ol' Dutch was 1-0 last week and 1-0 for the season. That game (BYU/A&M) just proves that anything can happen in the wild and wooley SWC!

Now for this weeks picks.

Tulsa at SMU. Did someone die and leave Tulsa in charge ? The Ponies ain't as bad as people are thinkin'. The SWC don't lose to no stinkin' Tulsa Hurricane(well the Aggies do, but no one else) The Pick: SMU 24 (welcome back Ramon), Tulsa 10

Texas Tech at Kansas State. The Raiders get to travel from Lubbock,Texas to Manhatten ,Kansas. Dern that Big 12 is glamorous. I think Tech is leaving Thursday by covered wagon. Tech is 0-1 in road games with Purple jerseyed opponents in the last two years. This loss will make it an official trend. The Pick: Kansas State 35, Texas Tech 10 (Spike, bring your nitroglycerine pills with ya)

Missouri at Texas. The Tigers are another one of them Big 12 patsies. Texas is gonna show up the Aggies and do the SWC proud. The Pick: Texas 41, Mizzou 10

see that I left out one SWC game.(sorry) Some Missouri Directional School at Oklahoma A&M. Now it looks like these Aggies don't intend to lose their openner. I'm sure it will be a hard fought battle. I remember when Okie A&M used to play real schools, like TCU. The Pick: Okie Aggies 24, Missouri Directional School 7

If you have a gamblin' problem call 1 800 Slingin', I'll get in touch with a support group.

(9/02) Ol' Dutch is standin' 5-0 on the season (pickin' games) after another perfect week (4-0). And if I do say so myself wisdom and experience is awfully important in prognosticatin'. So, if you ain't doin' so good with your picks, jest stick with me. My crystal ball here in Tahoka is tuned in. I picked 4 SWC games last week. They were:
SMU 24,Tulsa 10 (final was SMU 17, Tulsa 10 with SMU killing the clock on the 1 yard line rather than runnin' up the score on a conference brother.Mighty Christian for Methodists)
Texas 41, Missouri 10 (final was Texas 40, Missouri 10...not too shabby )
Oklahoma A&M 24, Missouri Directional School 10 ( final was OAM 24, SW Missouri St. 21 in OT)
Kansas St. 35, Texas Tech 10 (final was KSU 21,Tech 14 , Raiders are now 0-2 against purple jerseyed opponents on the road in the last 2 years. You see, it's like a science)
Three other SWC games were played, but I didn't make a pick on em'(they was jest too iffy):
Houston beat Sam Houston Teachers College but the score hadn't come across the wireless yet.
Southwestern 3, LSU 2
Phillips 66, Toby's Business College 53

Anyway, goin into week three, Here is the SWC Standin's
