Steve Sarkisian threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns and Dustin Johnson scored twice as 15th-ranked Brigham Young raced past Texas Christian, 45-21, and remained undefeated in the Western Athletic Conference.

Sarkisian completed 20-of-26 passes and has 12 TD passes in his last three games. He has 3,060 yards and 26 TDs this season.

"Our offense is clicking well right now," Sarkisian said. "Mark (Atuaia) had a nice run and our running game is really coming along. Our offensive line has played terrific the last couple of games."

The Cougars (8-1, 5-0 WAC) remained atop the Mountain Division with Utah, which routed Tulsa earlier in the day. BYU, which has won six in a row, visits Utah on November 23rd.

Jeff Dover threw a pair of touchdown passes for Texas Christian (2-5, 1-3), a WAC newcomer facing BYU for the first time since 1988. The Horned Frogs were outgained, 453-335.

Johnson's seven-yard scamper 1:44 into the game gave BYU the lead for good.

"That was the first touchdown of my career. I didn't think it would ever come," Johnson said. "Usually they have me in there to be the lead blocker when it gets close."

Ethan Pochman kicked a field goal in the final minute of the first quarter before Sarkisian began his assault.

He threw TD passes of 12 yards to Ben Cahoon and 13 yards to Ko Kealaluhi under two minutes apart early in the second quarter, giving BYU a 24-0 lead. After Dover threw a 35-yard TD pass to Jason Tucker, Atuaia rumbled 42 yards for a score to give the Cougars a 31-7 halftime lead.

Johnson caught a five-yard TD pass from Sarkisian with 9:23 to go in the third quarter, giving BYU a 38-7 lead. A six-yard TD run by Ronney Jenkins gave BYU a 45-14 lead with 32 seconds to go in the period.

Dover was 12-of-22 for 199 yards and two interceptions.

"We moved the ball well at times, but turnovers killed us," Dover said. "In order to beat a team like BYU you can't beat yourself."
