Knake is a candidate for the Davey O'Brien and Johnny Unitas Awards in 1995.
With his first of two touchdown passes against Kansas, quarterback Max Knake became TCU's all-time passing touchdown leader with 40 TD strikes, surpassing the legendary Sammy Baugh . Knake also celebrated a career single-game pass yardage high (391 yards), against the Jayhawks.
Knake is now 11th among all-time SWC offense leaders. He is 5th in TDs among SWC all-time passing leaders. Knake is also 8th among SWC all-time passing leaders in passing yards
