Storyline
Kansas had been pointing to this game since last year's 31-21 victory by the Frogs, and it showed. The Jayhawks dominated both lines of scrimmage. The Frog running game never
got on track, and the defense was forced to crowd the line with 9 players in an attempt to slow
the Jayhawk rushing attack.
Max Knake's two touchdown passes allowed him to pass the legendary Sammy Baugh's school
record of 39 career TD passes. Knake was forced to throw 57 times in a comeback effort, yet threw 0 interceptions.
Jason Tucker had 14 receptions for 171 yards, and was selected as TCU player of the game by
ESPN.
Michael Reeder was the Scholar Athlete of the game.
The Frogs showed off their new solid purple pants, with white jerseys. Purple numbers with a black outline. TCU on the sides of the shoulders, and on the side of the pants. Small Reebok logo on the side of the jersey as well.
The Frogs got off to a real slow, sloppy start, similar to last year's Baylor game. However, they then put forth a great effort until the end of the game, otherwise, this game could have been real, real ugly.
