The Trip to El Rosario

After visiting Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras, the next destination was our project site. The trip to El Rosario began with a two hour ride on the highway, followed by another two hours over a rough road with stops to put the van back together.

At the end of this road, we left the van and loaded up before heading for the village.

 
 
Getting there was a challenge in itself, as there are no roads to El Rosario, only a footpath for donkeys and villagers over steep, rocky terrain. After the two hour hike or donkey ride, we were the first Anglos to visit the village.
